Upon completion, the nurses could become infection control practitioner and also progress in management, education and research. An infection control practitioner is a nurse who handles policy implementation within a healthcare facility, ensuring that hospital staff are following proper sterilization and disinfection procedures. They may also participate in outreach programs to educate the public and patients about topics such as disease prevention.

STUDY MODE

Full-time study delivered through the following methods:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Local candidates registered with Nursing Board Malaysia (NBM)
• Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses
• Minimum 3 years clinical working experiences.
• Possess 3 months experience in the related specialty/field

Health Requirements

• Must be medically fit and free from mental illness, infectious diseases (HIV-AIDS, Hepatitis B and C), epilepsy, genetic disease, drug abuse and etc.
• Since it is a post basic programme, married student is allowed to enroll into the programme however, the student will be informed that the Institute do not encourage pregnancy during the period of study.
