QUT is one of Australia’s leading universities, and its Business faculty is the first in the country to achieve triple international accreditation.
The Faculty of Business provides its research students with first-class infrastructure and supervision in a strong, international research environment.
The faculty is located at QUT’s city campus which borders the Botanical Gardens in the heart of Brisbane – offering the climate and relaxed lifestyle of south-east Queensland.
The faculty is seeking to award up to 10 PhD scholarships to outstanding domestic and international candidates.
We are seeking applicants for research scholarships with particular focus on the areas of our research programs and National Research Centres:

Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies
*
Entrepreneurship and Innovation
*
Infrastructure Management
*
National Centre for Econometric Research
*
Services Innovation
Candidates interested in researching other areas of specialisation within our disciplines are also encouraged to apply. These areas include, but are not limited to:
* Accounting
* Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations
* Economics (including Behavioural Economics) and Finance
* Management and Human Resources
The scholarships
Applicants who meet the criteria will be awarded a $30,000 tax-free per annum stipend, paid fortnightly over three years, with the possibility of additional top-up as studies progress.
Tutoring work is usually available to supplement this funding, although applicants must commit a minimum of 30 hours per week on their study.

Applications are invited year round.
For consideration for commencement in Semester 2, 2009, please submit your application by close of business 29 May 2009.
