Education Expo 2012 in Urumqi China and Uzbekistan (September - October)

Dear Colleagues,

First of all, let us express our sincere respect to You on behalf of "NEO-CONSULTING" and “Knowledge Across Borders”.

We are pleased to invite you to the "International Education Expo 2012" (IEE 2012), which will be held on 15–16 September 2012 in Urumqi, China.

The "IEE 2012" will be organized by "NEO-CONSULTING" and “Knowledge Across Borders”, with the support of the Ministry of Education of Xinjiang and the Service Center of Foreign Friendship and Communication of Xinjiang.

The "IEE 2012" is a unique educational platform for the promotion of international education programs in China; it will attract thousands of students and introduce them to foreign universities and schools. Representatives from universities and schools will have a chance to promote their institutions and educational programmes to the emerging China student market, as well as to meet with local educational institutions, companies, and organizations. This event allows young people and the general public to choose world-class academic programs in the field of their interest.

With the rapid development of China’s economy, study abroad has become a very important channel for personal development. China is now the major source country for international students. In 2010, the number of Chinese students studying abroad reached 284,700, of which the number of self-funded students accounts for about 90% of total. This fully reflects the huge demand from Chinese students to study abroad.

Xinjiang boasts a multi-ethnic population of 22 million people, which includes Chinese, Uyghurs, Mongols, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Tajiks, Russians, Uzbeks, Tatars and others. Urumqi, the capital, has a population of over 3 million people with a GDP approaching $8,000, while the modern Urumqi Diwopu International Airport has flights to many points in China and Eurasia. In addition, due to the oil and gas industry, Karamay, a city 1 hour by flight from Urumqi and with a population of more than 300,000, has a GDP of over $35,000, making it the city with the highest GDP in all of China.
