Target Counselling Services ( TCS ) is a distinctive, highly professional and premier overseas education consultancy in the eastern sector of India engaged in providing career guidance and counseling to prospective students seeking opportunities to study in govt. accredited and internationally recognized universities around the world. Target Counselling Services will complete it’s 18th year of successful operation year in October, 2009.
TCS was established in 1991 at Patna, Bihar, India by Mr. Amaresh Shanker after his return to India from the USA where he had gone on a “Rotary Foundation Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship". Since then, TCS has been involved in providing career guidance to prospective students who wish to pursue higher studies abroad in search of vectored growth and knowledge and thereby to adopt a promising and rewarding career. At TCS, the students are provided all sorts of assistance….from selection of a right course to finally arriving at a campus abroad.
In the year 1992, TCS caught attention of some of the universities from abroad. which eventually resulted in establishing agreements for the purpose of recruiting students. And since then, there is no looking back. As of now, TCS officially represents several universities from outside India ( Australia, Switzerland, UK, USA, Singapore, Canada, New Zealand, Phillipines, Romania, Cyprus etc.) .
. In the Last 18 years, Target Counselling Services has successfully provided opportunities to thousands of students to avail a high standard of academic training from developed countries and to experience technological advancement and scientific accomplishment. Just came back from Switzerland…was there to attend International summit. TCS was the only one to attend that from India.

Mr. Amaresh Shanker, Rotary Scholar (USA),and a Law Graduate, is an expert on various aspects of studying abroad. He has extensively traveled overseas ( institutions and Exhibitions: Educational conferences) and has authored several articles in various journals and newspapers. He has given talks on All India Radio / Television on ‘Studying Abroad’ on several occasions upon invitations.Mr. Shanker has proved himself highly successful in imparting excellent educational and career guidance which has provided opportunities to thousands of students to avail a high standard of academic training from developed countries and to experience technological advancement and scientific accomplishment.
Mr. Shanker`s frequent visits and stay abroad has equipped him with rich experience in the said field exposing him to changing international scenario which ultimately puts him in a uniquely advantageous position to guide students better and help them grow.
Mr. Shanker received his High School education from St. Xavier's High School, Patna ( 1977 Batch ) and De Nobili School, Digwadih (Dhanbad), Bachelor's degree from Patna University, Patna College, Law (LLB) and Master's (double) degrees from India and the US.

I am pleased to advise that AITE successfully undertook a National ELT (English Language Teaching) Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) audit on Monday 23 November. As such, we will receive provisional accreditation from NEAS to operate an English language centre from 2010, including Business English, General English, IELTS preparation and English for Academic Purposes 1 & 2.
